3. Ifnecessary,usethe trackpadto movethe cornerof theguard zone tothe
requiredposition.As you move the corner,thewidth and/orheight of the
zonechanges, butits generalsectorshapeisretained.
Note:To createa 360° guard zone,ratherthan a sectorguard zone,youcan
eithermovethe corner allthewayround to form a circle,or moveit back to
justthe othersideof the other outercorner.
4. PressENTER todropthe cornerinitsnewpositionand redrawthe zone,or
CLEAR toabandon theoperationandreturnthe cornerto its previousposi-
tion.
Thedisplayshows thiszoneboundaryas a short-dashedline (zone1) or a
longdashedline(zone2), and the cursorreturns to normalcontrol.
5. Ifrequired, usethe context-sensitive cursorto repositionothercorners/
sidesof thezoneinturn,as describedbelow.
Moving, Reshaping or Deleting a Guard Zone
Youcanmove,reshapeor deletean existingguardzoneusingthecontext-
sensitive cursor.
➤ Youusethecontext sensitive cursortoreshapea guard zone by placingthe
cursoroverthecornerorsidethat you wishtocontrol(the labelGRD appears
underthe cursor). See Moving anddeletingitemswiththecontext-sensitive
cursoron page 1-17.
Note:To converta360° guard zoneback toa sectorguard zone,take control
ofanypointon the circle,and move it toopenupthecircle.
➤ Youcanusethecontext sensitive cursorto deletea guard zone.
➤ Youcanalsodelete (turnoff)a zone by pressingthe ALARMS key, and then
pressingtheappropriate guardzonesoftkey to togglethe setting fromON to
OFF.
Controlling Guard Zone Alarms
Theguardalarmistriggeredwhena targetentersaguardzonewhichexceeds
thetargetdensitythreshold.Youcan set the thresholdabovewhicha new
target will trigger an alarm,and can also turn the alarm on or off.
Whenthe alarm is triggered, theunit beepsandatextmessage is displayed.
➤ To clearthealarm,press any key (onthe masteror repeaterdisplay).
Thealarmwill soundagainafter 10 seconds,unless one or more of the
followinghappens:
