SmartRouteenablesthe currenttrack,or the lastsegmentof a track with
breaks,tobeconvertedtoaroute(thetrackcouldhavebeenretrievedfromthe
tracklist).SmartRouteplacesawaypointatthelasttrackpoint,thenconsiders
eachpointinturnanddeterminestheclosestroutethroughtherecordedtrack.
Thenumberofwaypoints createdisminimized,whilstmaintainingoptimum
correlation to therecordedtrack.Oncompletion,the maximum deviationof
theroutefromtherecordedtrack is displayed.
➤ To convertthe currenttrackintoaroute:
1. SelectMAKE INTO ROUTE andpressENTER.
Thecurrenttrackis convertedto a new routeand becomesthecurrent
route,withthemostrecentlyplacedtrackpoint asthestartofthe route,i.e.
thetrackis reversed.
Ifthereisanunsavedcurrentrouteonscreen,theoptiontosavetherouteis
given,see Section 5.4,Workingwith Routes.
2. Checkthe calculatedroute and,inparticular,thatthe routedeviationfrom
theoriginal, given in thewarningbox, is withinnavigablelimits.
CAUTION:
Beforefollowingtheroute,ensurethatitissafefornavigation,notingthat
itmaydeviatefromyouractualpathtravelled.
