Using the VRM/EBL
Key
➤ To re-position one end of the rulerline:
1. Movethecursorover the rulerlinetowardstheend that you want to re-
position,untilthe lettersA→ B aredisplayed.
2. PressENTER totakecursorcontrolofthe ruler. Therulerendmovesto the
cursorwhichchangesto a four-headed arrow.
3. Movethecursorto the requiredposition.Therulerdata box is updated.
4. PressENTER againtosetthepositionand return to normalcursor control.
Alternatively, press CLEAR to resetthe rulertothepreviousposition.
➤ To clearthe rulerlineand ruler databox
either:
Movethe cursor overthe rulerline, untilthe lettersA→ B are displayed,then
pressCLEAR.
or:
PressVRM/EBL, therulersoft keys aredisplayed.Press RULER OFF ON to
togglethe rulerlineand data box off.
➤ To cleartheruler databox:
PressVRM/EBL, therulersoft keys aredisplayed.Press RULER DATABOX OFF
ON totoggle the rulerdatabox off.
➤ To move the Rulerdata box,usingthecontext-sensitive cursor:
1. Movethecursoroverthe box untilthe letters BOX are displayed,and press
ENTER totakecursor controlof the box.
2. Usethetrackpadtomovetheboxto its new location,and pressENTER to
dropitand return to normalcursor operation.
