Section 8.8). TheBridgeNMEA Heading option canbeusedtoprevent
NMEA headingdata being bridgedontothe SeaTalkbus.
Forexample,if you haveacoursecomputer connectedonSeaTalkand
NMEA,andanactivecompass connectedon NMEA (forMARPA), SeaTalk
dataoverridesNMEAdata in the coursecomputer. You should therefore
switch OFF the Bridge NMEA Headingoptionto ensure the course computer
receivesthesame NMEA headinginputas the radarsystem.
NMEA Out Set Up
Thisoptionletsyou switch offindividualNMEAout sentences.
Cursor Echo
Youcansetup an integrated systemsothatradarand chartplotterdisplays
connectedviaSeaTalkcan displayeach other’scursors.
Cursorecho functionsso that you can displaya chartcursoron the radar
picture,oraradarcursor onthechartpicture (you cannot displaya remote
radarcursorina radarwindow nora remotechartcursorin a chartwindow).
Whenthe appropriate optionsareswitched on,eachdisplayshows itsown
cursor,plusthecursoroftheotherdisplaywithappropriatecursortext(RDR or
CHT) to indicateits origin. This means thatyoucouldmove the cursorovera
targetontheradardisplay,andchecktheidentityofthetargetbylookingatthe
radarcursorposition onthe chartplotter.
Pressthe CURSOR ECHO softkey to displaythe cursortransfersoftkeys.The
followingoptionscan be toggled ON or OFF:
• RadarCursor In: displays thecursorfrom anotherradar on thechartdis-
playor chart window(default-OFF).
• ChartCursorIn:displaysthe cursor fromanotherchartplotteronthe
radardisplayor radar window(default- OFF).
Note:TheremotedisplaymusthaveSeaTalkCursorOutenabled.Raymarine
recommendthatinmulti-display systems,you do not enableCursorOuton
morethantwo displays.If multipledisplays havecursor out enabled,the cur-
sorswillnotbe displayedsimultaneously,butwillflashon/off.
• SeaTalkCursor Out: enablestheoutput, onto SeaTalk,of thedisplay’s
owncursor(default-OFF).
• CursorEchoLocal:echoesthecursorpositionbetweenopenwindowson
thesame display(default- ON).
Ifyou set the optionsto OFF, nocursor echoinformationis displayed.
