Changing the Brightness
TheMULTI keyon thecolorLCD displayisused to adjust brightness. The
brightness of the screen can be adjustedover a wide range, suitablefor
viewingin daylight(highbrightnesslevel)or at night(lowbrightness level).
Thekeylightingisautomatically adjustedas you alterthescreenlighting,so
thatyou can alwaysfindthe keys. Ifyousetthebacklightto a high level, the
keylightingisdimmed;ifyousetthebacklighttoalowlevel,thekeylighting
levelis increased.
Adjusting the Brightness
➤ To changethe screenbrightness:
1. PresstheMULTI keytodisplaythesoftkeycontrols(Radarmodesoftkeys
are illustrated):
2. TheLIGHT softkeyindicates thebrightnesslevel,usethetrackpad(upor
down)toincreaseordecreasethesetting.Youcanpressandholdthetrack-
padto changethe settingmore rapidly.The brightnesslevelis adjustedas
youchangethe setting.
3. PressENTER to returnto the defaultscreen,with the new brightnesslevel.
➤ To setthe screen brightness to 100%:
Pressand holdthe MULTI key foronesecond.The brightnessis increasedto
100%.
Thebrightness levelis retainedwhen you switch offthe display.
Note:During night-timeuse, the brightnessmay beset very low, when subse-
quentlyoperatedduringthe day itmay notbeapparentthat the displayison;
pressMULTI,followedby the second softkeyfromtheleft, then use the track-
padto increase brightness.Alternatively,pressandholdMULTI forone sec-
ondtosetthe brightnessto 100%.
