PresstheSELECT BOXES softkeytodisplaythedataboxsub-menu.Thisallows
youto selectupto6 databoxes that you candisplay.
Note:1. Afixedsetof16 ofthesedata items are availablefordisplayin the
NavDatahalf-screenwindow (see Chapter 2).
2.Inadditiontothesegroupeddataboxes,boxesforthecursorreadout,VRM/
EBLdata,waypointdata,MOBdataandsimulatorstatusaredisplayedwhen
selected or when the appropriatefunctionis active.

Databoxes provideregularlyuseddatain a compactform so thatmostofthe
picturecan stillbeseen.Theonesyouselectherecanbe turnedonand off asa
groupduringnormaloperation,andyoucanalsomovethemaroundthescreen
individually usingthecontext-sensitive cursor(see Context-SensitiveCursor
Controlon page 1-17.).
Bearing Mode
Themode(magnetic ortrue)of all the bearingand heading datadisplayed.
Thisis indicatedin theradarstatus bar afterthe headingvalue.
Cursor Reference
Themodeof the bearingdatadisplayed forthe cursor readout.The bearing
information can be displayed in either of two forms:
• Relative: The bearingrelativetoyourvessel’sheading.
• Mag/True:The actualbearingineitherdegreesmagnetic or degreestrue.
ThisoptionisonlyavailableinRadarmodeifyoursystemincludesaradar
displayandyouhaveheadingdata fromacompass.
Ifyouchoosethis mode,theselection you madeforthe previousparame-
ter(BearingMode),°M or °T, isdisplayedin the cursor(Rng/Brg) data
boxes.The currentunitsare shownfor theheading value inthestatusbar
atthetop of the screen.
Cursor Readout
Thisoptioncontrolswhetherthecursordataisshowninlatitudeandlongitude
orinrangeand bearing.Alternatively,you can show both typesofreadout,in
separateboxes,or turn thecursordata box off.
Youcanalsoturn the cursorreadoutbox(es)on and offduringnormal
operation,viatheSCREEN defaultsoftkey(seeSwitchingtheCursorDataBox
OnandOff on page 2-13.)
