Power and NMEA Input Connection
TheDC powerand NMEA inputshould be connectedat the rear Power/
NMEAseven-pinconnector.Theconnector(viewedfromtheoutside)andpin
functionsareshowninthefollowingdiagramand table. The NMEA Input is
detailed in Section 8.8.

Power Connection
CAUTION:
Ifthepowerconnectionsareaccidentally reversedthesystemwill not
work.Use a multimetertoensurethatthe inputpowerleadsare
connectedforcorrectpolarity.
Switchoff the displayunitbefore youremovethepowercord.
TheREDwiremustbe connectedtothe feedfromthepositive(+)battery
terminal and theBLACK wireto the feedfromthe negative(–)battery
terminal.Theshieldedwire(screen)shouldbeconnectedtotheship’s RF
groundas previouslydescribedin Grounding the Systemon page 8-12.
Anyunused wires shouldbeinsulated andtapedback.
