Creating a New Route
Note:If there is a currentroute, itis cleared when youselectMAKE ROUTE.If
youare followingthecurrentrouteyou are promptedtoSTOP FOLLOW.Press
the YES softkey to continue,or NO toabandon route creation.If the routehas
notbeensaved you arepromptedto save it.
ThechartscenarioMake and Follow a Route on page 2-28providesasimple
exampleof how to createa route.
Therearetwomethodstocreateroutes,whilstcreating a routeyoucanswitch
betweenthesemethods:
• Placingnew waypointson the chart.
• Selectingexistingwaypointsfrom the WaypointList.
Youcanedita route afteryou have finishedmakingit,as describedin Editing
aRouteon page 5-27.
➤ To make a newrouteby placingwaypoints:
Note:You can pan the chart and change thescalewhile placingwaypoints.
1. Ifnecessary,movethecursorto the areainwhichyou wish to make the
route,and selecta suitable chartscale.
2. Pressthe ROUTE softkey, thenpress the MAKE ROUTE soft key. The make
routesoftkeysaredisplayed:
